It's not every day that you get to play flag football in the land of IKEA. 🇸🇪🌍

The SNATCH flag football team had the opportunity to do just that, and it was incredible. ✨

During the Halloween period, we embarked on one of the most exciting adventures we've ever experienced, surrounded by people from all over the world, different cultures, playstyles, and entirely unique experiences.

A weekend filled with flag football, fun, friendship, and the Swedish cold. 🎃🫱🏽‍🫲🏼❄️

We shared this journey with 32 players from all over Italy and beyond. Thanks to the amazing people who joined us, the SNATCH family grew even larger, once again filled with joy and laughter. 🥰🤩

Our adventure began with the arrival of the players at Gothenburg airport. ✈️

They weren’t hard to spot, each proudly wearing our customized SNATCH flag football team tracksuit.

Imagine a group of 30 lively individuals, all dressed alike, navigating safely to the Prioritet Serneke Arena, the largest multi-sport complex in the Nordic countries. It wasn’t easy, but we made it.

After settling into our rooms, it was already time for a team meeting to welcome our Coach Andy and hand out the players' kits! 😎

As we had anticipated in the blog FLAG FOOTBALL BETWEEN PUMPKINS AND TOUCHDOWNS - SNATCH’S HALLOWEEN IN SWEDEN, SNATCH participated in the bowl with three teams, two male and female.

The men’s team Snatch-'o-lantern participated in the Men’s/Mixed Elite category, while the Snatch Crow participated in the Mixed Leisure category.

The Snatch Witches participated in the Women’s Elite. 🧙🏼🐦‍⬛🎃

Our guys spent 2 intense days. In the first day we played the group games. All three teams have achieved very good results. The Snatch-'o-lantern and Snatch Witches have been awarded semifinals passes in each category, while the Snatch Crow have been granted access to the quarterfinals, which took place on the second day of the bowl. 🚀✨

On the last day our teams gave everything for everything.

The men’s Elite team, the Snatch-o'-lantern, have gained access to the final.💪🏼

The final of the Men’s/Mixed Elite category was a very close match, point by point, but unfortunately the opponents, the Amager Demons, managed to go ahead in the last seconds of the game and thus win the title of winners of the Pumpkin Bowl, Leaving the Snatch-o'-lantern second place. 🥈🔥

Our girls in the Women’s Elite also proved that they deserved the final and so they did. The game, played against the Arlanda Jets, reigning champions of the Swedish flag football championship, did not go as our girls hoped. The Witches have fought to the last proving to be united and determined, earning a fantastic second place. 🥈🤩

Our Snatch Crows got a fantastic fifth place, they showed so much determination, desire to get in the game and union, and we are very happy with the result that they achieved. 😍

The added value of our teams comes from the fact that most of the boys and girls who participated in the bowl with us had never played together. In no time they have turned into a real team and seeing them so united on the field made us very proud of them. ❤️💪🏼

Our participation in the bowl, however, did not stop only at our three teams. We participated in the bowl as sponsor of the tournament and we attended with our stand. 🫱🏽‍🫲😻

As a sponsor, we have offered prizes to the winners of each category of the tournament. Every player from the Amager Demons, Arlanda Jets and Nuola team received our kit of pop-ups, belts and flags that we made for the Pumpkin Bowl.

We congratulate these teams for their victory, it was wonderful to see them play on the field.👏🤩

The Pumpkin Bowl for us at SNATCH was a wonderful adventure. 

Playing against teams from all over the world is always wonderful and having the chance to meet and make friends with so many players makes our adventure even more valuable. 🩷🫂

Coming to the end of this article, we would like to share a thought that comes from the heart of the SNATCH team. 🩷💜�💙

It was an honor to share this experience with 32 guys united by a single passion that they believed in this adventure, who put themselves into the game, not only on the field but also outside.

We saw 32 almost unknown guys become a united and cohesive group in just 3 days, it really created a beautiful bond between them, which still persists today.

Some of them, on their return home, have written beautiful words that have remained in our hearts.

"I needed to remember what I play for.

I needed to remember that it’s not all about performance and results (even if there were some 🤪 things)

I needed to get out of my comfort zone, not just think about working hard for that national team spot, that podium step.

I needed to remember how much I love this sport.

And with you it was immensely easy ❤️

We think these words, written by our guys, are the very essence of SNATCH. 

Our passion for these sports led us to create the SNATCH flag football teams.

SNATCH teams exist for what our kids have written, to bring new friendships, new experiences, new values, new ways of playing and sometimes even to bring back that spark that maybe was dying, to allow players around the world to find their first real reason for playing flag football, which is fun. ✨🩷

This was the essence of SNATCH in 2024. We promise that in 2025 this spirit will remain so and be strengthened by allowing the same and new kids to participate in international bowls to give them the chance to continue to get into the game, make new friends, find new values and have fun.

Non capita tutti i giorni di giocare a flag football nel paese di IKEA. 🇸🇪🌍

Il flag football team di SNATCH ha avuto l’occasione di poterlo fare ed è stato meraviglioso. ✨

Nel periodo di halloween siamo partiti per una delle avventure più belle che noi di SNATCH abbiamo mai vissuto circondati da persone da tutto il mondo, culture, modi di giocare e esperienze totalmente diverse. 

Un weekend all’insegna del flag football, del divertimento, dell’amicizia e del freddo svedese. 🎃🫱🏽‍🫲🏼❄️

Abbiamo condiviso tutto ciò con 32 ragazzi provenienti da tutta Italia, e non solo. Grazie alle splendide persone che si sono unite a noi la famiglia SNATCH si è allargata ancora di più, e ancora una volta, si è riempita di gioia e divertimento.🥰🤩

La nostra avventura è iniziata con l’arrivo dei ragazzi all'aeroporto di Göteborg.✈️

Non è stato difficile riconoscerli, ognuno di loro indossava la nostra tuta personalizzata con il logo SNATCH flag football team.

Immaginate un gruppo di 30 ragazzi, vestiti tutti uguali, poco tranquilli, da far arrivare sani e salvi alla Prioritet Serneke Arena, il più grande complesso polisportivo dei paesi nordici. Non è stato facile, ma ce l’abbiamo fatta.

Il tempo di sistemarsi ognuno nelle proprie camere ed era subito ora della riunione, per dare il benvenuto al nostro Coach Andy e per consegnare il kit dei giocatori!😎

Come vi avevamo anticipato nel blog FLAG FOOTBALL BETWEEN PUMPKINS AND TOUCHDOWNS - SNATCH’S HALLOWEEN IN SWEDEN, SNATCH ha partecipato al bowl con tre squadre, due maschili e una femminile. La squadra maschile Snatch-‘o-lantern ha partecipato alla categoria Men’s / Mixed Elite, mentre gli Snatch Crow hanno partecipato alla categoria Mixed Leisure.

Le Snatch Witches invece hanno partecipato alla Women’s Elite. 🧙🏼🐦‍⬛🎃

I nostri ragazzi hanno passato 2 giorni intensi. Nella prima giornata si sono disputate le partite di girone. Tutte e tre le nostre squadre hanno ottenuto dei buonissimi risultati. Gli Snatch-‘o-lantern e le Snatch Witches hanno ottenuto il pass per la semifinale di ogni categoria, mentre gli Snatch Crow hanno avuto accesso ai quarti di finale, che si sono svolti il secondo giorno di bowl. 🚀✨

L’ultimo giorno le nostre squadre hanno dato il tutto per tutto.

La squadra maschile Elite, gli ​​Snatch-o'-lantern, hanno ottenuto l’accesso alla finale.💪🏼

La finale della categoria Men's/Mixed Elite è stata una partita molto combattuta, punto a punto, ma purtroppo gli avversari, gli Amager Demons, sono riusciti ad andare in vantaggio negli ultimi secondi della partita e ad ottenere così il titolo di vincitori del Pumpkin Bowl, lasciando agli Snatch-o'-lantern il secondo posto. 🥈🔥

Anche le nostre ragazze nella Women's Elite hanno dimostrato di meritarsi la finale e così è stato. La partita, giocata contro le Arlanda Jets, campionesse in carica del campionato di flag football Svedese, non è andata come le nostre ragazze speravano. Le Witches hanno lottato fino all’ultimo dimostrando di essere unite e determinate, meritandosi un fantastico secondo posto. 🥈🤩

I nostri Snatch Crows hanno ottenuto un fantastico quinto posto, hanno mostrato tanta determinazione, voglia di mettersi in gioco e unione, e siamo contentissimi del risultato che hanno ottenuto. 😍

Il valore aggiunto delle nostre squadre viene dal fatto che la maggior parte dei ragazzi e delle ragazze, che hanno partecipato al bowl con noi, non avevano mai giocato insieme. In poco tempo si sono trasformati in una vera squadra e vederli così uniti in campo ci ha reso molto orgogliosi di loro. ❤️💪🏼

La nostra partecipazione al bowl, però, non si è fermata solo alle nostre tre squadre. Abbiamo partecipato al bowl come sponsor del torneo e abbiamo presenziato con il nostro stand. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼😻

In quanto sponsor, abbiamo offerto i premi per i vincitori di ciascuna categoria del torneo. Ogni giocatore degli Amager Demons, delle Arlanda Jets e della squadra Nuola hanno ricevuto il nostro kit composto da pop-ups, belts and le flags che abbiamo fatto per il Pumpkin Bowl.

Ci complimentiamo con queste squadre per la loro vittoria, è stato meraviglioso vederli giocare in campo.👏🏼🤩

Il Pumpkin Bowl per noi di SNATCH è stata una meravigliosa avventura. 

Giocare contro squadre che provengono da tutto il mondo è sempre meraviglioso e avere la possibilità di conoscere e fare amicizia con così tanti giocatori rende ancora più preziosa la nostra avventura. 🩷🫂

Arrivando alla conclusione dell’articolo, vorremmo condividere un pensiero che viene dal cuore del team di SNATCH. 🩷💜🩵💙

E’ stato un onore condividere questa esperienza con 32 ragazzi uniti da un’unica passione che hanno creduto in questa avventura, che si sono messi in gioco, non solo in campo, ma anche fuori.

Abbiamo visto 32 ragazzi quasi sconosciuti diventare un gruppo unito e coeso in soli 3 giorni, si è creato davvero un bellissimo legame tra di loro, che ancora oggi persiste.

Alcuni di loro, nel rientro a casa, hanno scritto delle bellissime parole che sono rimaste nel nostro cuore.

“Avevo bisogno di ricordarmi per quale motivo gioco.

Avevo bisogno di ricordarmi che non è tutto solo performance e risultati (anche se ce ne sono stati pareeeeecchi 🤪)

Avevo bisogno di uscire dalla mia comfort zone, di non pensare solo a lavorare duro per quel posto in nazionale, per quel gradino del podio.

Avevo bisogno di ricordarmi quanto amo questo sport.

E con voi è stato immensamente facile ❤️

La passione che noi abbiamo per questi sport ci ha portato a creare gli SNATCH flag football teams.

I teams SNATCH esistono per ciò che i nostri ragazzi hanno scritto, per portare nuove amicizie, nuove esperienze, nuovi valori, nuovi modi di giocare e, a volte, anche per riportare in vita quella scintilla che forse si stava spegnendo, per permettere ai giocatori di tutto il mondo di ritrovare il primo vero motivo per cui giocano a flag football, cioè il divertimento. ✨🩷

Questa è stata l’essenza di SNATCH nel 2024. Promettiamo che nel 2025 questo spirito rimarrà tale e verrà rafforzato permettendo agli stessi e a nuovi ragazzi di partecipare a bowl internazionali per dargli la possibilità di continuare a mettersi in gioco, di creare nuove amicizie, trovare nuovi valori e divertirsi.
